Grading Procedures

Grading for the choir classes at West is very simple. Each portion of the choir grade constitutes a percentage of the final quarter grade. The breakdown of the grade can be seen below. At the conclusion of each semester, every student in a choir class will take a final exam, per district guidelines.

Each class is designed so that students can easily earn an A by actively participating in class activities and attending performances. Outside-of-classtime commitments are minimal and the occasional assignments are often given with a week to turn in for full credit.
