National School Choral Award

The National School Choral Award is the highest honor for high school choral performers. It recognizes the dedication and musical achievement of the top male and female choral students. To preserve the integrity of this top award, schools are limited to two sets of student awards per year – one each for the top male and female student (except in the event of a tie when up to two additional awards may be given).

Recipients

Maggie Radford Nordquist Choral Award

The Maggie Radford Nordquist Choral Award is a scholarship that recognizes an outstanding senior member of the A Cappella Choirs (Chorales) of both Oshkosh West and Oshkosh North high schools.

Maggie Radford graduated from Oshkosh High School in 1964. During high school, she formed the Pom-Pom Squad and was a member of the A Cappella Choir. She married Curtis W. Nordquist (OHS Class of 1962) and the couple had three children. Mrs. Nordquist continued her vocal studies and tutored numerous voice students at Oshkosh West and Oshkosh North high schools. After her untimely death in 1976, Mr. Nordquist created this fund as a memorial to her and the vocation she so dearly loved.  This is a $300 scholarship.
