OWHS Music Department Musical Cast/Crew Contract

General

• Cast must be in good academic and disciplinary standing in order to participate.

• Members must follow the Oshkosh West Activities Code of Conduct.

Rehearsals

• We are working in a limited time frame with vocal music, choreography, and acting. Therefore, tardiness to any rehearsals will not be tolerated.  Being tardy to rehearsals is grounds for dismissal from the musical production.

• Your script, pencil, and a good attitude must be brought to every rehearsal.

• Use your time wisely. If there is downtime, work on your homework, run lines, and keep the noise level to a minimum.

• No cell phones are to be used during rehearsal unless permission has been given by a production staff member.

• Rehearsals are closed; no family or friends are permitted in the rehearsal space.

• Lines, Songs, Blocking, and Choreography must be memorized by the assigned date.

• Cast members will be instructed on the proper attire and footwear to rehearse in. They should be dressed and ready to go when rehearsals begin. No Flip-flops for dance rehearsal, all clothing must meet school dress code standards.

• Directors are the only ones allowed to give notes. Students are not allowed to give other students notes regarding performance. Common courtesy and moral support to and from all cast members, orchestra members, and stage crew members are expected throughout the rehearsal period and run of the show. Failure to comply with this rule will result in disciplinary action.

• All actors and crew members must have FULL AVAILABILITY during the last two weeks of the show. 

• All actors and crew members are required to attend strike on the last performance day.

• If you are to be absent for any reason, you must send an email or text to Mrs. Meyer (Bethany.meyer@oshkosh.k12.wi.us) before the start of rehearsal.

• If you miss a rehearsal where music, blocking, or choreography is being taught, it is your responsibility to make up for what you missed before the next time we review. Failure to do so will lead to removal from song, scene, or musical number. 

TWO OR MORE UNEXCUSED ABSENCES WILL RESULT IN YOU BEING DROPPED FROM THE PRODUCTION
